Day 3 - Paris

Today was museum day for the Suttons! I’m so glad we got the Paris Museum Pass. It saved us from standing in long lines!

We started our day with the Orangerie Museum which beautifully showcases the works of Claude Monet, including the breathtaking Water Lilies murals.

Then we relaxed in the Tuileries garden and luckily found a bakery to grab a bite to eat and to escape a downpour. After lunch we headed for the Louvre!

We found our way through the louvre… barely! There was a map but it is a big, confusing place! But we found many amazing things! Like the small little painting that everyone else in Paris was there to see.

And stunning architecture. Really, the Louvre exhibits are impressive but the real work of art is the building itself. The boys were very impressed, especially with the ceilings. They learned what the word opulent means.

After seeing so many artifacts and walking 15,000 steps, we found our way back to the Tuileries Garden and rested our tired feet.

We have mostly walked Paris and it’s been a blast even though our feet are worn out! There is so much to discover around every corner.

Our dinner tonight was at Le Pied de Fouet, on Rue Saint Benoit just down from our Airbnb. The service was great and the food was delicious!

Tomorrow morning we go get our van! Off to the next adventure!
