Day 4 - Camper Van

Today we got our camper van! We took an Uber from our Airbnb to the Roadsurfer office that is about 30 minutes south of central Paris. There it was ready and waiting for us! We learned all about our home for the next 26 days and we were on our way! 

First stop, Ikea for some cheap bedding and then a small grocery store to stock up on necessities…aka coffee and the French version of Little Debbie’s for David.

Then we were on our way! First stop, a campsite just south of Auxerre called Les Ceriselles. I reserved this campsite in advance because I knew we would like to have a predetermined location to get unpacked in the van. That was really nice! The campsite was filled with campers but not crowded. It was a quiet place to see the French countryside and figure out how to share a small space together. It also had a campsite with lots of room for the boys to run around! They are super excited to start this part of our journey. And we are so thankful to have them along to share this experience with. Or at least we’re still thankful on Day 4…we’ll see how we feel on Day 25. 😉
